The community support line (CSL) is a centralized toll-free hotline that can be accessed by anyone in North America for assistance with safety planning, networking and accessing resources. We receive more than 200 calls a week seeking assistance with a wide variety of issues from crisis support around and assault or an arrest, to sex positive resources for medical and mental health resources to housing and transportation requests.
Mentor By Mail
Mail to Incarcerated Sex Workers is a Harm Reduction Strategy, especially people who have traded sex and queer and transgender folks! Mail Call often happens in public spaces in the prison. When someone hears their name called by a prison guard during Mail Call, it is a reminder that people on the outside care about that person. It is also a message to the guards and other incarcerated people that this person has support and is not forgotten.
Holiday Greetings
Holiday Greetings to Incarcerated folks happens 4 times a year and is a quick and easy way to send supportive messages of support on a one time only basis with no need for follow up. We have Incarcerated Pen Pals in 35 of 50 States and they would love to hear from you! You can elect to send 10, 25 or 50 Holiday Greetings and really light up a Holiday for our incarcerated members. Live or travel Internationally? Our incarcerated members LOVE to get postcards from abroad and you don't have to wait around for a response!
Amazon Wishlists
You can send books to incarcerated Sex Workers and Survivors from their custom created Amazon Wishlist! It's a great way to easily and quickly provide support and encouragement to people who are experiencing the repercussions of criminalization! Our wishlists are updated monthly and be sure that you include a gift receipt so your gift isn't turned away by the facility!
Reentry Support
Our reentry Support starts from Behind Bars! Six months prior to release, our incarcerated members receive the SWOP Behind Bars "Focus on the Future" re-entry guide and handbook. Upon release and on request, members are provided a smartphone with 90 days worth of service, full size hygiene items, and assistance with procuring identification documents, as well as setting up critical accounts for receiving public and private resources. We regularly refer incarcerated survivors of violence to legal council to assist with vacating criminal records.

In October of 2024, our legal services department will be ready to assist survivors in having their criminal record vacated, expunged or sealed! We look forward to providing this valuable service to sex workers and survivors who have experienced arrest ad incarceration get a fresh start in life! You can answer the community support hotline voice or chat, help us answer emails from our incarcerated members, build Amazon Wishlists and organize penpal parties for our Holiday Greeting Cards!
Orientation and Training for new volunteers is hosted monthly and its a great way to give back to your community!
